Minion Master build ideas
I am going to switch my SS to a MM for a change. Any build ideas? Any gear/armor/rune must haves?

Verata's sacrifice (I think thats the skill) gives your minions temperary health regen and is very usefull, although now that it has been nerfed, it isn't nearly as helpful as it was before.

yeah i dont use it anymore. i just spam BotM & Heal Area

You probably already decided on a build from those who gave their advice, but I will still give you mine.
MM:
Animate Flesh Golem (e)
Animate Bone Fiend
Animate Bone Minion
Verata's Sacrifice
Blood Of The Master
Death Nova
Blood Renewal
Rez Signet
This is what I use from my N/Me.
Equipment: (Again what my character has)
Bone Lace Armor (Drok's) (infused)
+1 Soul Reaping Scar (infused)
A Purple Staff that gives faster recharge on Death Magic (x% - I don't know what is the % is) Level 9 Death Magic; 11-22 dark damage
You can insert runes if you like. I have 13 Soul Reaping, 12 Death Magic and the 3 into Blood Magic.
I know its pretty weak in terms of armor and weapon but I can make it work.

My skill bar is set up as follows:

I chose ranger for my secondary profesion after trying out monk with heal area. I feel ranger is more energy efficient than monk because troll unguent only costs 5 mana, as opposed to the 10 mana healing breeze, and Healing Spring allows me to stop for a moment and bring my entire army back up to full health from 10% without losing too much life to BotM or running low on mana with the expensive heal area. I feel its important to be able to heal yourself, rather than preassure your monk to heal you when you make a big sacrifice. Consume Corpse helps alot with energy management and allows you to escape in an emergency. Putrid Explosion adds some nice DPS and works well for when you have your army rolling.
My attributes and gear are as follows:
16 Death magic
12 Wilderness Survival
Remainders in Soul Reaping
+1 Death Magic Scar Pattern, Superior Rune of Death Magic
+Energy Armor for body, arms, and hands
Bloodstained Boots for feet
Collector offhand, energy+12(requires 9 death magic), +1 death magic (20% chance while using skills), +30 hp
Totem Axe, because it looks cool, its cheap, and it has decent mods
Concerning the choice of Tormentors Armor for higher defense, I feel this is not necessary. If you are careful to keep the mobs outside your aggro circle and allow your minions to body block for you, there shouldn't be a problem. You can also use consume corpse to get away from a monster and allow your minions to block his path to you again.

Well, i found a very good MM build when playing RA with a friend...
This build is a MM but with skills that damage to... I actually took out a warrior, as a MM.. (He couldn't be very good)
Necromancer/Monk
I use:
Deathly Swarm
Vile Touch
Parasitic Bond
Dark Bond
Balthazars Aura
Animate Bond Minions
Animate Flesh Golem
Ress Sig
As you can see, there is not alot that heals me nor my minions, but that is not a problem, when the enemy dies really fast... Parasitic bond heals and makes damage, so thats why i use that spell...
When playing with this build, try to be near your minions, so you dont get raped by a assasin, and always refresh ur Dark bond.
In the beginning of the fight you will use Balthas aura on a Meele teammate, or anyone thats being hit (monk....) Or just toss it on your flesh golem when he is in combat... Your bone minions is nothing but in the way and takes dmg instead of you, and u get energy when they die.
Use Parasitic bond on as many enemies you can, so when they end, you will have a nice little healing portion.
When u face an opponent use Vile Touch and follow with Deathly, then use Vile again... Ur energy will sink pretty fast, that the opponents life will to. And if you fight along ur Flesh golem, ur not going to loose that battle...
The most concern about this build is the life, but u can change the Parasitic bond to something else... U will use some runes, so ur health maby wont be so high, but around 400 i suppose. ( The build is not really done yet... To little factions to buy runes and stuff... )
This MM build is for those who do not like to just be in the background and let the minions run wild and attack, this is for the one who wants to be in the action and kill!
Some stats i already know.
Death Magic 16
Blood Magic 5 (then u have 40 in dark bond)
Soul Reaping, Smiting prayers and Curses is up to you, but I play with about
8-10 in Smiting Prayers
7-10 in Curse
7-10 in Soul Reaping
For weapon, use the "wand" that gives 15 in energy and -1 in Energy regen.
and the Secondary +1 in Death magic and 30 in health.
You can choose the armor as u like, but as any MM u MUST HAVE BLOODSTAINED BOOTS!
Dont overpower with runes, dont forget the rune that gives health, or u'll really suck...
